November is Diabetes Awareness Month and this year it hits really close to home. In September of this year my niece and God daughter Addy was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. After a scary couple of days in the hospital she was able to stabilize her levels and let her journey at home begin. Sadly, at this same time they also had to say goodbye to their family dog. Now we are looking to help support them in adopting a diabetic service dog.
Addy and her mom came over and co-created this bracelet with Moxie Malas. The combination of our stone knowledge and her sweet eye for color is what helped to create this beautiful bracelet.
100% of the profits from these bracelets are going to go directly to the family to help pay for the training of the assistance dog and companion for Addy. In order to keep down on the cost of the bracelet it will be delivered to you in an organza pouch rather than a box.
We are so appreciative of your support and look forward to helping the family provide this much needed companion for their daughter as well as cover the medical costs of transitioning into this new lifestyle with Type 1 Diabetes.

Here are some words from Addy's mom Jana.
"Addyson’s Story
On September 18, 2017 Addyson went from a seemingly healthy little girl to being rushed to Children’s Hospital emergency room. Suffering from extreme abdominal pain we quickly received that news that she has Type 1 diabetes. With a serve glucose spike she was admitted to Children’s Hospital for 2 days while they slowly brought her levels back to normal. The first 24 hours were especially difficult as her levels went up and down and other ailments presented themselves. The staff at Children’s was amazing at keeping us informed on her progress and starting the education process on how we would soon begin to treat her at home.
Along with Addyson’s’ type 1 diabetes diagnosis comes a huge life change for her. She has handled every step with such strength and determination. This was a new path for not only her, but for my husband and myself as we virtually had no knowledge of diabetes. We are learning and adapting as a family and with the knowledge we are not alone in this.
By sharing our story we hope to give strength to others who may be navigating a new diagnosis. Take comfort in knowing you are not alone and you are surrounded by love and light. "
